About the Project
Vyapar Initiative in Krishi and Agri-Startups-RKVY Agribusiness Incubator (VIKAS-RABI) has been conceptualized and established under ICAR- National Rice Research Institute (NRRI), Cuttack. VIKAS-RABI aims to promote innovation-led entrepreneurship and business creation in agriculture and allied sector by skill development; capacity building and technology scale up.
This program is powered by Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana - Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR), an initiative of Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. This scheme is structured to enable Ideation stage entrepreneurs and startups with a minimum viable product(MVP) to scale up their business by networks of technical and business experts, industry and government partners, training with the commercialization experts from agri sector, and extensive mentor network.
This program is housed under NRRI-Institute Technology Management Unit & Agribusiness Incubation Centre (ITMU & ABI Centre), a unit of National Rice Research Institute (NRRI), Cuttack.
Development of Sustainable Agri-startup ecosystem for promotion of innovation led Entrepreneurship.
Incubating youths with innovative ideas and technology by quality mentors and technical experts in conducive approach to scale up from its ideation stage/start-ups to scale up stage.
To promote ''Lab to land'' by dissemination of new technology/varieties to farmers through Entrepreneurship development under Startup India.
